“Halo Legends”won’t be distributed in the traditional fashion initially. According to the official release, Microsoft’s Halo anime will be delivered to fans through an interesting (and upcoming) portal on Xbox LIVE called “Halo Waypoint.” Neat-o.

Think of Halo Waypoint as Master Chief’s personal digital distribution service. In addition to bringing the anime to fans over Xbox LIVE, Halo Waypoint will also “inform fans of the latestHalonews and activities” and grant access to all sorts of Halo media like podcasts, trailers, images, and “exclusive video footage.”

Halo Waypoint will also come with a “career system,” which is bound to accomplishments related toHalogames. We haven’t the slightest idea how it will work, but we have a feeling that we’ll learn more about Halo Waypoint in the near future. It’s due out this fall, after all.
