Halo 3: ODSTis almost upon us, and Microsofthas reiteratedhow important the series is for the Xbox 360, promising that even though Bungie is done with the universe, the universe is not done with itself.
“Halo is our bread and butter,” claimsBungie stalkerAlex Cutting. “Microsoft Game Studios is the publisher that broughtHalo: Combat Evolvedto the scene, and we realized we had a good thing going there. It is a center piece for us. We will invest inHaloas much as we can to make sure it’s a healthy, respected, fun franchise, and we will continue to do so.
“TheHalouniverse is obviously very rich in detail. There are a lot of stories to be told there. As far as the future of the franchise, I can guarantee it’s something Microsoft is going to continue to invest in and make new products and exciting stuff, but I’m not going to be able to tell you, or even concept what other stuff we’re doing.”
Have you had enoughHalo? Do you believe Microsoft has exploited it too much, or is there still plenty of life left in the franchise? For all the accusations of the series being turned into a cash cow, it’s certainly not turned intoGuitar Hero.Have you still got gas in your engine forReachandODST?
