The recent disaster in Japan has left the entire country shaken, but little by little, folks are picking up the pieces and looking towards a brighter tomorrow. One such person is Hitoshi Ariga, author and illustrator ofMega Man Megamix. After receiving a letter from a fan who expressed how Ariga-san’s manga helps him cope during these difficult times, Ariga decided to pay those sentiments forward.

On his personalblog, Ariga is holding a little coloring contest. He has posted line art from some of his book covers and is asking children to color them and share them however they please. The best works will receive special goodies and possibly trinkets from Ariga’s personal collection. It’s a sweet gesture, and one that should hopefully take children’s minds off the tragedy for a while.
