I like to think I’m very sensible when it comes to my shopping habits. The only game-related doodads I’d typically ever spend an exorbitant amount of wampums on areMega Man-related. However, I’m also a sucker for big-ass music collections, such as the 19-disc behemoth that was theAkumajo DraculaBest Music Collection Box(which I will own the day my last ounce of fiscal responsibility leaves me).

In May, Capcom will be releasingBiohazardSound Chronicle II, a limited-run six-CD collection featuring music fromResident Evilgames released after 2005. It contains music fromUmbrella Chronicles,The Darkside Chronicles,Resident Evil 5, and the upcoming 3DS game (I’m assumingRevelations).

The box set is follow-up to a 2005 collection that will also be reissued, and that one contains tracks from all mainlineREs up to4includingCode Veronicaand0. The sets will cost 8190 yen (~$97) each, which is actually a good bargain once you get over the hurdle of paying such an obscene sum upfront.

Unfortunately, there is a downside: only theChroniclesgames have their full OSTs represented. The rest are “best of” selections, so some tracks are left on the cutting room floor. Still, wouldn’t one of these boxes be a lovely conversation piece? Or am I the only nutjob here who’s seriously considering these?
