You’d think thatResident Evil 5would have been the more desirable and anticipated franchise if it were being compared toLost Planet 2, but if the demo performance of both games are anything to go by, it’ll be the less storied series that outshines the famous horror sequel.
“In 24 hours we actually got more downloads of theLost Planet 2demo than we did ofResident Evil 5,” Capcom’s Chris Kramer tellsVG247. “That kind of astonished all of us.”
Kramer couldn’t divulge exact figures, but considering the fact thatResident Evil 5‘s demo was downloaded 1.8 million times in its first week, one can assume that a LOT of people acquired theLost Planet 2one. By all accounts, theLP2demo was great, but even so it’s quite surprising to see that it did better business thanResident Evil 5.Could bode extremely well for the game when it hits store shelves.
