I’m sure that there are plenty of Xbox 360 owners who would never even give Mistwalker’sLost Odysseya second thought. Even though it’s an Xbox 360 game, it’s not really anXbox 360 game— you know what I mean? But, for every gamer that is constantly strung from one first-person shooter to the next, there’s another that has that JRPGneed —a need that was not filled by Mistwalker’s last RPG,Blue Dragon. For those, there’s high hopes for Hironobu Sakaguchi’s newest epic.Very little video has come out of Mistwalker forLost Odyssey, though they’re letting out much more than Square Enix is for theFinal Fantasy XIIItitles (those jerks). This new video of the game’s opening introduction doesn’t show much game play, but it least it shows that a lot of work has went into the game’s world and environment.I don’t know about you, but my interest is definitely piqued. The opening looks amazing, and the music is packed with plenty of Uematsu-isms that bring me back toFinal Fantasy VI’sbrilliant score. I’d still like to see more, but I’m already much more interested than I was forBlue Dragon. Hopefully it won’t be a letdown likeBDwas after we finally get our hands on it.
