Crystal Dynamics has officially revealed its newTomb Raidergame today, except it’s kind of not. The studio has eschewed theTomb Raidername for this series reboot, instead calling itLara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Even more surprisingly, the game will not be a retail release, but a digital download.

Right now, there are no further details on the game, other than it will be “very different to what people might be expecting.” The game will be shown off behind closed doors at GDC next week.

With Croft having sagged these past few years, this could be the shot in the arm she’s looking for, especially with Square Enix breathing down Crystal Dynamics’ neck. What do you reckon? CouldGuardian of Lightbe a fresh start for the boob-flavored adventurer, or has Lara had her time in the sun?
