Videogames have been linked with murder cases in the past, but things have gotten ridiculous with the news that they’re causingimaginarymurders.

Police in Sweden were called to a murder scene and raided a house after reports of violence. A passer-by saw shadows of one man attacking another with his bare fists through some curtains, and responsibly called the cops. When police descended on the scene of the crime, they discovered somebody was just playing a Kinect boxing game and not, as reported, committing murder.

“It was pretty embarrassing when they came in and asked who we were attacking,” said Robert Johansson, who allegedly isnota murderer. “It was just a computer game.”

This isn’t the first time videogames have been mistaken for criminal activities. A Danish SWAT team onceraided a man’s houseafter gunfire — from a PS3 game — were heard. By all means, enjoy your games, just make sure you’re playing in a soundproof room with absolutely no windows. That way, everybody’s happy!
