It seems as if there’s no end to the influence that gaming has over art, from tiny craft projects to full scale re-enactments of the games we remember from our childhoods. In his newest series of photographs, artistPatrick Runtebrings us real life visions of the characters fromPac-Man,Space Invaders,Pong,Tetris, and more (see them all at his website).

The artist comments on his photos:

“The work is inspired by Oskar Schlemmer and his idea of the ‘Triadic Ballett’ and the term ‘Streetplay’”, Runte explains. “I wanted to compile old video games, which are based on simple geometric forms and make them able to be experienced / felt by the human body.”

That seems like a fancy explanation, Patrick. How about “This looks incredibly freaking awesome?” Works for me.
