IO Interactive tells The Hollywood Reporter that it’s aiming for a “more stylized, more serious and darker game” withAbsolution. With that new tone comes a stronger focus on characters, which led to the decision to work with professional screen actors like Thomason and Carradine.

“There are more central characters in this game than we’ve ever dealt with before and they all have names and an important role in the story,” the game’s director Tore Blystad says, “so working with Hollywood talent was crucial to us. It’s important within the framework of the game for players to be able to connect with these characters.”Hitman: Absolutionwasrecently revealedin a teaser trailer; you can read more, including a few hints about the upcomingHitmanfilm, on The Hollywood Reporter’s website.
