This morning’s report thatViacom was actively looking to sellRock BandandDance Centraldeveloper Harmonixcame as a shock to fans of the franchises. But according to a statement released by the Boston-based dev, things are business as usual.

“This morning’s announcement does not affect the ongoing work at the studio as we continue to support our existing franchises,Rock BandandDance Central,” wrote Harmonix’s John Drake on theRock Band forums. “As stated earlier, Viacom is in discussions with several potential buyers and will continue to fully support the business until a sale is completed.”
