2K Games has released a debut trailer just in time for E3, showing off the controversial newXCOM. Decision is split right across the board for this new title, taking as it does the form of a first-person-shooter as opposed to the unique strategy game everybody remembers.
Nevertheless, the current game holds promise if this trailer is anything to go by. Taking a cute fifties aesthetic and a B-movie influence,XCOMis at least very stylistic. Despite the “betrayal” of the series’ roots, I’m rather looking forward to it and can’t wait to see more at E3.
