Someone on eBay is selling hisshiny little ballfor $250,000. The ball is allegedly worth so much money because it is one of fifty specialFinal Fantasy“orbs” that was given as a prize byNintendo Powerback in 1990.

The story goes that the mold used to make the orbs was smashed, preventing any more from being made. It’s made of solid lead crystal and has “Final Fantasy” etched into it, along with a shield and a sword image. There’s no denying that it’s quite a special little thing.

However, nobody’s buying it, because I dare say that anybody who wants it doesn’t have $250,000 to be spending on little round baubles. Perhaps if Paris Hilton were aFinal Fantasyfan, this would have been snapped up already, but poor, degenerate NES gamers are another matter.

So, if you have a ludicrous amount of spare cash and absolutely nothing else to spend it on, this is up for grabs. Don’t delay, demand for this item is …incrediblynonexistent.
