Microsoft has released free downloadable content forKinect Sportstoday which you’re able to go and download now from the Xbox Live Marketplace. TheKinect SportsParty Pack adds six mini-games with names like “Super Striker,” “Pinvaders,” “King of the Ring,” and “Fruit Splatter.”
There are also three new mascots, “Zippy Zombie,” “Champion Chicken” and “Sportastico.” And if you’re into racking up those achievements, there are ten to snag here for 250 Gamerscore.
It’s smart of Microsoft to release this sort of free content for Kinect games. Practically everything was already on the disc (the DLC has a filesize of 7.6 MB), but making the content strictly available through the Marketplace nudges consumers who may have bought into the console on Kinect but haven’t yet taken the device online. And that’s Microsoft’s real objective, to get more devices connected into Live.
