On June 29, Raven Software’sSingularityfinally hits shelves. Here’s the best part — according toG4, if you buy it on the Xbox 360, you’ll get Prototype forfree.
The deal, a mail-in offer, reminds me a bit of the “BuyGuitar Hero 5, getGuitar Hero Van Halen” for free deal Activision ran late last year. The difference here is that whileVan Halenwas of questionable quality,Prototypeis by most accounts a pretty good game. Hell, our own Jim Sterlingeven thoughtit was “blatantly better thaninFamous.”
Whether or not Sterling’s word is law is irrelevant, because free is free. It helps that, despite numerous delays,Singularityactually looks like it could be a solid, if not clever, first-person experience. No word on how long the offer will last after the game ships, so you’d just better buy it on day one. That’s exactly what Activision expects.
