Blaster Tankis basically a total rip-off of XBLA classicHeavy Weapon. It’s almost exactly the same, including the background screen-clearing nuke exploisions, except that it’s not as good and there are no bosses (as far as I could tell). You’ll probably get bored of it after 5 minutes at a time, but it’s another reason to try out the pretty long trial version ofHeavy Weaponas well, so there’s that.

Shadow Runnerhas kind of a mix betweenBraidandN+gameplay vibe to it. You, a white dude, is trying to enter a door that slowly opens as you run. Your shadow selves will follow in your footsteps and if you hit them, you’re dead. After a couple of levels, you get into that planned timing-based rhythm while you do typical 2D platforming — wall-jumping and all. It frustrated me after 10 minutes, but I’m sure there are some of you out there that will dig it.

Knights vs. Bearsis a free version ofKnights vs. Aliens, which I’ve been giving a spin for the last two days. You go from map to map, starting with one unit-spawning tower and taking over other towers to spawn more units. By simply dragging over towers to a target, you’re able to send armies of units to take over enemy towers or reinforce your own. It’s simple and pretty addictive, and since it’s free right now it’s worth a shot. Plus it’s Knigths fighting Bears.
