First parts of Dead Rising film now on Xbox LIVE

Quick reminder — the first parts of Capcom’sDead Risingfilm,Zombrex Dead Rising Sun,have hit Xbox LIVE Marketplace today. They’re available right now in three parts; you can find it by findingDead Rising 2and viewing “All Downloads” — you’re looking for the three “Webisodes.”

Filmed entirely in Japan and written and directed by Capcom’s Keiji Inafune, the film is inspired by the events ofDead Risingand pays homage to 60s and 70s zombie flicks. The trailers point to it being a delightfully over-the-top and silly horror romp, and even if it’s total garbage, “free” is a pretty compelling price tag.

While the movie will be making its exclusive US premiere on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, you’ll be able to watch all of the episodes online atthe movie’s official websiteon August 11.
