The team at Square Enix has a lot to celebrate today.Final Fantasy XIIIhas sold over one million units here in America in the first five days that it’s been out.Final Fantasy XIIIhas now become the fastest-selling installment in the franchise’s history.
Square didn’t give a breakdown of whetherFF XIIIsold better on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 so we’ll have to wait for the NPD data next month to get a clear picture on that …. along with a ton of console fanboy rage. With the release ofXIII, theFinal Fantasyseries has now reached 96 million units sold worldwide since the first game appeared on the original Nintendo.
I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed things aboutFinal Fantasy XIII. Some love it and others are bored with it already. How’s your experience been with Square’s latest offering?
