Say what you want aboutFarmVille, but its players are good people. Some of them. The super popular Facebook game has a partnership with nonprofit organization FATEM, and they’re working together to build a school for children in Haiti, to replace the ones wrecked by the January earthquake.

Zynga,FarmVille‘s maker, is donating 50% of all its Sweet Seeds for Haiti program to FATEM for the construction of Ecole du Choic, the School of Choice, in Mirebalais, Haiti. In only one week, more than 45,000FarmVilleplayers raised $110,000 through the purchase of virtual goods.
