AfterMetroid: Other M, I’m pretty desperate for a traditionalMetroidgame.Minitroidstill tops my most wanted list in that department, but sadly, we haven’t heard anything about that game in a while.
Looks likeMetroid: Confrontationwill have to hold me over in the meantime. Like theMetroid Primeseries, the game takes place betweenMetroid 1and2. There’s a free demo on thegame’s official site, and from what I can tell, it’s a pretty loyal to the gameplay engine ofMetroid: Zero Mission. I’m a little bummed to see some inappropriately flashy effects in what’s an otherwise very GBA-looking game, but other than that, I have no complaints.
