In 2000, the originalThe Simswas the best selling PC game worldwide. Ditto for 2001, 2002, and 2003. Then, in 2004, that title went toThe Sims 2. So basically what I’m trying to say here is thatThe Simsis still popular. True story: I recently purchase a PC capable of gaming, and the first game I purchase wasThe Sims 3.
