David Jaffe has revealed what we’ll be seeingofTwisted Metalthis week at E3. The above trailer reveals a little bit of the story behind Sweet Tooth’s deadly ramapage as well as a boss named Iron Maiden, a semi-cab. Oh, and they transform into robots.

ROBOTS.

If you had told me thatTwisted Metalwould have cars that transform into robots, I would have called you a filthy liar and phoned your mother to let her know how bad you’ve been. Did not see this one coming. Jaffe reassured franchise fans who may be worried at the revelation, saying, “Twisted Metal has not become a mech game. It’s still 95% a vehicle/car combat game.”

In addition to the trailer, Jaffe also posted a developer diary where he pontificates on the essence ofTwisted Metaland shows off a new stage in the game, set in New York City during the holiday season. You can watch that below.
