Earlier today, I stopped by theTarget Bullseye Loungeto check out two of Ubisoft’s upcoming Wii-exclusive titles. The first of which wasPress Your Luck 2010, a practically flawless representation of the 80’s game show.

As I played, I realized the game’s imitation of the source material is its Achilles heel. On one hand, you’re playingPress Your Luck— you’re answering trivia questions, earning spins on the legendary 18-space game board rife with Whammys and prizes. On the other hand, you’re playing a game that automatically looks and feels dated.

Ubisoft did add new stuff, though. The trivia questions are current and I was told that new Whammy animations were created and added to the game on top of the ancient ones ripped from the game show.

Press Your Luck 2010allows you to create your own avatars with a robust character creation system. (Glasses and clothing confirmed.) And once you get into the game, you only have to press one button to do everything.

If you’re a fan of the show, I can’t imagine you’d be disappointed. It’s definitelyPress Your Luck, but I don’t know if the 2010 tag serves any real purpose.
