Hard to imagine coming from a franchise whose traditional product offerings are rooted in the concept of telling stories, but there’s an epic tale of good and evil being told inDungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale. Okay, maybe “epic” isn’t the right word for a story about a couple of dudes climbing a tower to beat up a green (allegedly evil) guy. But it’s the story we’ve got, dag nabbit.

If you’ll pardon me for geeking out a second, I was never terribly interested inForgotten Realmsas a setting forDungeons & Dragons. Apart from being inexorably drawn toRavenloftdue to its reliance on classic monster tropes, I was always more of aDark SunorGamma Worldsort of dude. But I do like co-operative action games, which this will be, so I’ll give it a play.
