Let’s see now…there have been ten main games, one side story, and five handheld titles in the classicMega Manseries. Dr. Wily builds one or two fortresses for each outing, and they always crumble to the ground in the end. Where the hell does this man get the funds to build these money pits? Is there a bank that keeps accepting his loan applications? The dude’s credit must suck so bad!
Lair construction aside, Wily has a lot on his plate between games. He also has to build or abduct a fresh batch of Robot Masters, lay down traps in themed levels, and coordinate robotic army maneuvers. If you stepped into his shoes, wouldn’t you feel more sympathetic in his plight for global conquest?
NeoGAFfer jarosh spent over 100 man hours inWarioWare D.I.Y.on nine minigames starring good ol’ Al doing his daily routines. This was truly a labor of love, from the NES sprite recreations and custom edits to the remixes of classicMega Manjams. You join Wily as he trims his eyebrows, refuels his UFO, and tests his teleport hatches without accidentally getting spliced with a stray fly. The best one has to be where Wily goes shopping for baddies and must avoid selecting non-Mega Mangoons likePac-Manghosts orDragon Questslimes!
Know what? I’d totally play a full game that’s just Wily or Bowser or whoever making preparations for the heroes’ arrival. Wouldn’t you?
