So, Ninja Theory is making a newDevil May Cry, people are bitching, and all I have to say is … what’s the problem, again? I’ve just watched this pretty damn epic trailer for the upcoming game and it looks pretty freakin’ fantastic to me.

It’s not likeDevil May Cryhas ever been a sacred series. It’s an absurd franchise about a ludicrous man with a big sword and guns, and that’s it! It’s not hallowed ground. It’s not like the game has finely crafted lore and characters with deep backstories to ruin.

And you know what? I’ll go so far as to say I like Dante’s new look. It’s a little emo for sure, but he still appears to have the same over-the-top personality. Just seems to me that it’s another case of gamers being terrified of change. I’m all for games not-innovating when they don’t need to, but a nice refresh can go a long way, and if any series needed refreshing, it’s this one.

At the end of the day, Ninja Theory is a developer one can trust, and you can all just quit whining about it.
