The soul still burns, you’re just going to have to be patient. According to Namco Bandai’s Daishi Odashima — part of the Soul Calibur-centric Project SOUL team — we may hear some news in just a few weeks.
“Hopefully, I will be able to announce something mid-May,” he says on hisTwitter.
Unless Project SOUL is working on a newPac-Mantitle, the safe bet’s on details of newSoul Calibur, possibly the fifth title in the main series. With the rising mainstream popularity of fighters again (thanks toStreet Fighter IVand more recently,Mortal Kombat), the time is ripe for Namco Bandai to make a splash. Let’s hope it delivers.
