I’ll be honest, I’m sick of writing stories that are about how there are no current plans or announcements for a newSSXtitle. But here we are…
EA Sports head Peter Moore hasrevealed to Eurogamerthat the publisher has no plans to bring back the extreme snowboarding title… or at least it has nothing to announce. But there’s hope, as Moore callsSXX“a fabulous piece of intellectual property” and that “you never say never.” Instead of saying never, you just tease and upset me, that’s what you do.
“It’s been a number of years, some people may not even have played anSSXgame,” Moore says of bringing back the series and the approach the company might take. “You’ve got to look at the current marketplace and Shaun White coming back again.”
Shaun White’s a talented kid and he’s got hair that makes most clown’s blush, but his games with Ubisoft have never come close to the excitement or had the same flavor as theSSXgames. This is needed, EA Sports; there’s a hole in the market as well as in my heart. Stop screwing around already!
