Sony has been teasing this fantasy racing car they’ve put together with Red Bull Racing for some time now. It’s finally revealed and we have plenty of pictures to share with you.
The car was the answer to a big ‘what if.’ They wanted to use Gran Turismo 5 to see what the fastest race car would be outside any regulation. The X1 is it. The result? 1,483hp at 15,000rpm, a top speed of 400kmh and up to 6G of lateral G-force. Car design superman Adrian Newey went nuts and used an old, banned design. He used a fan to force air out from underneath the car, lowering the air pressure creating a huge amount of downforce.
