I remember back in October 2008 when wefirst discovered theSea of Dreamstrailer on the PS3 version ofBioShock. Even scared, I was a bit hopeful that the sequel to one of my favorite games of all time could possibly be something I might enjoy playing. Of course, since then we’ve heard word of everythingfrom co-op to Russians, and my hopes for the title to be remotely decent have ventured into the dirt.

IGNreports that 2K has officially announced a name change for the sequel, dropping theSea of Dreamstagline and just going withBioShock 2. Interesting. I know the name doesn’t really matter, but I kind of liked the tagline. I’ve given up on freaking out over murky details that may or may not be true about the game, so I’ll leave the speculation to you guys — does a slight name change mean anything to you?
