As part of some kind crazy limited supply promotion,Best Buy will be dishing out “exclusive bonus tracks”forGuitar Hero IIIfor anyone willing to order Metallica’s upcoming CD,Death Magnetic. It isn’t clear as to what tracks can be downloaded via Best Buy’s instructions, but one would assume that a few Metallica tracks would be included with the package.
Best Buy didn’t mention having to actually listen to the CD or taking it out of the wrapper, which should take some of the pain out of the purchase. After listening toSt. Angerand Ulrich’s sick-cat-snare drum for several minutes, I’m afraid that I haven’t been able to take Metallica seriously. It has scarred me for life.
The offer only stands for the Xbox 360 version of the game, so PlayStation 3 and Wii owners need not apply. Although, it’s not like Wii owners have any choice in the matter. At least the Wii remote in the guitar thing is cool, right?
