Banjo-Kazooieis one of the greatest platformers ever created, even surpassing masterpieceSuper Mario 64in my mind.Banjo-Tooie— the game’s amazingly named sequel — is also awesome, although it lacks alittleof the original’s charm and flawless design. It’s stillfantastic, don’t get me wrong … I just get a little overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stuff to do and places to explore.
For fans of both these games, today brings some pretty fantastic news! Microsoft just announced thatBanjo-Tooiewill be headed to Xbox Live Arcade in early 2009.Previously announcedXBLA releaseBanjo-Kazooiewas alsodated, officially hitting Microsoft’s download service on November 26, two weeks after 360 exclusiveBanjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Boltsleaps onto store shelves.
Both games will cost a hefty (but worth it!) 1200 points, but anyone that wants to take advantage of theBanjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Boltspreorder bonusstill can (by preorderingNuts & Boltsyou will receiveBanjo-Kazooieon XBLA for free!).
What do you think of this awesome news? Do you adore the Banjo-Kazooie games as much as I do? Will you be downloading these games when they are released? Do you wish everyone spoke gibberish like the characters inBanjo-Kazooie? And just because I am curious: what is your favorite Mumbo Jumbo transformation?
