I love Atlus and I love Nippon Ichi Software, and those sons of bitches know that they have people like me in their pockets. I can’t break away. They could sell me almost anything!

Thankfully, they’re selling the good stuff. They send word that this obscure game dream team continues to bring in the niche hits withDisgaea DSandRhapsody: A Musical Adventure. Oh, andDisgaea 3for the PS3, of course.

“Over the years, we have built a strong relationship with Atlus,” said Harusato Akenaga, President of NIS America. “We have worked together on a number of great titles in the past and we are thrilled to partner once again to releaseDisgaea 3, Disgaea DS, andRhapsodylater this year. Please look forward to some of the most hardcore games to be released for PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS!”

Disgaea DSis exactly as it sounds; a remadeDisgaeathat takes advantage of the DS screens and stylus. I’ve loved this game, and I’ll love it again with its new story and ending, specially made for this version. In a similar vein,Rhapsody: A Musical Adventureis a DS remake of the PlayStation original. For the uninitiated, it’s a musical RPG, with singing and all. Both titles launch on September 23rd for $29.99.
