I recently just watchedAlien vs. Predatorfor the first time and now I need a solidAliensvideogame to help wipe the taste of bullsh*t from my mouth. As a lifelong Xenomorph fan, the wait for Sega’sAliens: Colonial Marinesis proving frustratingly difficult, not least because its very existence keeps seeming to hang in the balance.

Once again, we’ve beengiven evidenceto show that it’s not dead yet, with UK gaming magazinePowerStationteasing detailsin next month’s issue. The magazine has never been known to run an April Fools joke, so they might not be yanking our cranks. In any case, I shall eagerly await any fresh signs of life for this Gearbox-developed shooter.

We really need to hear more about this game soon. I’m all for developers taking their time, but going this long without showing any sort of progress never speaks well for a videogame’s quality, especially since Sega usually promotes games to the point of exhaustion, yet has remained eerily silent on this subject. It’s my sincere hope that Gearbox brings out a greatAliensgame tomatch the classics. So far, however, there’s simply nothing to go on.
