Back in 2005,28 Days Laterscreenwriter Alex Garland took time out of his busy schedule to write a 128-paged script based on some game calledHalo. Later, DB Weiss (autho of videogame-themed novelLucky Wander Boy) stepped in and re-wrote the whole damned thing, and eventually that original project was scrapped. Pity.
This weekend,a user over at 1UP“stumbled” across a torrent that claims to provide Garland’s ditched script in PDF form. According to 1UP’s Patrick Klepek, the script seems legit, credited to Garland on the first page, and full ofHalomythology references and fancy words like “genetically-refined human flesh and blood.”
While I’m too lazy to find the torrent or PDF myself to verify this information, I’m sure with some clever sleuthing and the right client it shouldn’t be too hard to get a hold of. Now get to work, and feel free to e-mail that right on over to us.
