Earlier this month, a Remedy Entertainment representative teased that the studio would be makingsome sort of official commentabout the PC version ofAlan Wake. We have suspicions that the PC version is no more and we’re sorta right about that. In a new statement given to several Web sites not named Destructoid, Remedy said “PC plans are currently open” and they “would love to see a PC version available,” but it’s up to Microsoft to decide the game’s platform destiny.

“It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake,” the statement reads. “PC plans are currently open, and therefore it’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher.”

Sounds like there won’t be a PC version, at least, for a good while. Microsoft didn’t even acknowledge this version ofAlan Wakeat its E3 2009presentation.

Here’s to actually playingAlan Wakein Spring 2010, though. We look forward to it.
