The Game Audio Network Guild has an awards show during GDC every year to award the best in game music and audio. I missed the event while celebrating Destructoid’s 4th birthday, but I heard it went well. Today we have the awards from the show for you.

The big winner in sound isUncharted 2: Among Thieves. Good pick. The audio design was stunning, and went a long way towards giving the game its Hollywood movie feel. As far as music goes,Assassin’s Creed IIandUncharted 2tied for the top award. I feel likeAss Creed IIhad better music, but what do I know? My true best of the year for music would have gone toFinal Fantasy XIIIanyway.
