Escape From City 17is a short film series made by thePurchase Brothers. Part one was just released onto Youtube and this is easily going to be the best videogame related fan made video of 2009. The amazing thing about this and the second episode (coming soon) is that both were filmed with a budget of just $500. The video really feels like a Hollywood production, if not better. We had a chance to check out the fastest, most powerful (and high-tech) gaming laptop ever: Alienware’s M17x. In fact, we got the full unboxing experience at their offices, which in hindsight was probably in an attempt to make me feel like I was unboxing my very own M17x, making me want one. And it worked. The above patent image? HA! Hilarious! It looks like Nintendo has been cooking up a soft football controller for the Wii, according to a recently filed patent submitted by Howard Chang, VP for R&D. It looks to be something like a NERF football with a groove cut out for the Wii Remote. You wrap your hands around the ball as normal, and your fingers can touch the Wii Remote buttons. Other images in the patent suggest that even the Nunchuck could be stuffed inside....
As much as Microsoft would like to indicate, Kinect is a device that is going to leave most hardcore gamers in the cold…at least initially. With the upcoming launch set for November 4 in the States, most of the expected launch titles are made up of casual sports, health and pet games. However, there is one exception—Fighters Uncaged—that promises to offer the first hardcore game experience on Kinect. I’ve gone, well—body-on—with the game, and am ready to share my results....
