FOX News tries to debate Modern Warfare 2

It wouldn’t be a videogame controversy without FOX News trying to have a ham-fisted, awkward and ill-informed debate about it.Modern Warfare 2has generated all sorts of intelligent and interesting discussion about its infamous “No Russian” level, and FOX doesnotcontribute to that discussion with this embarrassing mess of a segment. Check out the video. The guy they brought in to defend the game loses his train and thought and seems totally unprepared for even the laziest and most predictable arguments, the guy they got to attack the game actually does a better job of makingModern Warfare 2lookgood, and the host desperately tries to spark off aMass Effectstyle wave of panic and fails miserably because he clearly knows nothing of the game and doesn’t know what’s so bad about it outside of “THE TERRORISM!...

Free Radical shot first, Star Wars Battlefront III footage looks great

This footage is allegedly fromStar Wars Battlefront III. According toKotaku, this was an in-house video shown during a Free Radical meeting in November — a month before Free Radicalclosed up shop.Battlefront IIIis rumored to be in the hands of Renegade, the company responsible forStar Wars Battlefront IIandRenegade Squadronon the PlayStation Portable. Even though the timing sucks, the game looked quite sharp while Free Radical was developing it. The opening doesn’t show much action, but it does reveal some smooth vehicle footage....

Friday Night Fights: Modern Warfare 2, y’all edition

This has been one hell of a big week for online gaming. The simple inclusion of predator drones alone inModern Warfare 2‘s multiplayer instantly had me falling in love with an already satisfying experience. The sleek new user interface, the crazy new killstreaks, the fact that there are now so many challenges, you basically get to hear the “F**K YEAH! YOU ROCK” guy screaming/guitar riff challenge completed effect during every match — it’sso good....

Hail the freak: 36 WoW accounts, played simultaneously. By a freak

I submitevidenceof one man, which I am going to use to paintallWorld of Warcraftplayers as subhuman scumworms who deserve to be shot. This creature owns 36WoWaccounts, plays them at the same time on 11 computers, and goes on solo raids. He can’t even make friends in avideogame. TheWoWnutbag goes by the name of Bradster, leading me to believe it is our very own Brad Nicholson. Hands-on with Luc Bernard’s Eternity’s Child

Destructoid readers should no doubt be aware of Luc Bernard’s gameEternity’s Child. The designer — who isactive in the Destructoid community— has for awhile now been documenting the title’s development quite publicly. Originally conceived as an Xbox LIVE Arcade title,Eternity’s Childwill eventually be finding its home on the Wii via WiiWare and PCs by way of Valve’s Steam service later this year. The developer was kind enough to send a preview build of the game my way, which contained two levels that will eventually make it into the final product (Bernard is hoping for about 20 in all)....

Pilotwings Resortfor the Nintendo 3DS includes the same events you loved — all three of them: plane, rocket belt, and hang glider....
