Google says that on the Games page you can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you’ve received, see achievements and check out games the shortiez you know have played....

Gun Sonata Pack primed and ready for Bulletstorm PC

It was a scary first week or so for the PC version ofBulletstormfrom a technical standpoint, but I’m glad I made the purchase now that the dust has settled. People Can Fly is trying to pull us back in with the Gun Sonata Pack, now available on PC in North America. Ten bucks gets you three follow-up maps for Anarchy mode (aka multiplayer): Sewers of Stygia, Hotel Elysium, and Villa. Realizing that not everyone adores playing nicely with others, the Crash Site and Guns of Stygia maps for Echo mode are included as well....

Halo movie talk resurfaces: Like Hollywood was going to let that one go

With the Peter JacksonHalomovie project dead in the water thanks to money disputes, one could almost be forgiven for thinking that would be the end of it. Almost — because it’s naive to think that Hollywood would keep its stinking claws off of a popular videogame IP for long. Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean) has apparently gotten movie people hot under the collar bypenning a scriptbased onHaloprequel novelFall of Reach....

Hands-on: Firefall

The first thing pretty much everyone notices at this year’s PAX Prime are the several dozen massive banner ads forFirefall, a free-to-play MMOFPS/TPS and the first project of Red 5 Studios.Firefallwas first announced at last year’s PAX Prime and playable earlier this year atPAX East. I got to play for an hour or so, and I came away feeling like it was a fusion ofUnreal Tournmanet 2004andBorderlands. There are a few different modes, including instanced eSports maps for the competitive folks, as well as a persistent universe that gives players dynamic missions based on what is going on in the game world....

Indie Nation #55: Trilby: The Art of Theft

Quick — name every stealth game you’ve ever played thatdidn’tsuck. Not the great ones, not your favorites, not the ones that will stand the test of time, but merely the ones which did not suck. If you’re anything like me, you’re struggling to come up with more than five. Stealth games, for whatever damn reason, have so rarely been executed with any degree of competency that finding a decent one is a cause for celebration....

Interactive Killzone 2 commercial available (Update)

The crazy,four-dimensional version of the commercial, ‘Behind the Bullet,’ allows you to mess with the camera, twisting it around the battlefield that it travels through. That’s not all, of course: the three minute long commercial will allow you to activate audio commentary from theKillzone 2team and fool around with “visual filters.” Of course, this is all possible because the commercial was made with theKillzone 2engine. Pretty impressive tech, eh? I can’t wait toplaythe commercial whenever it hits this afternoon....

It’s always time for a Deus Ex: Human Revolution video

Would you like anotherDeus Ex: Human Revolutionvideo? Of course you would! This is the game’s TV spot, variations of which are hitting your tellies around the world. I caught one this weekend, and it was good. Features an appropriate little song, too. I’m about as pumped for this game as I could be, so anytime that review copy would like to land on my doorstep is fine by me!

Japan gets Professor Layton port for cell phones

The reasons I’m obsessed with Japan are beyond number, but this recent announcement is a sterling example of why I envy their culture. Not only isProfessor Layton and the Curious Villageavailable on cell phones, but according toFamitsuit comes preinstalled on Panasonic’s new DoCoMo handset, the P906i, which is coming out this week. Beats the hell out gettingSnakefor free, doesn’t it? The port will also include some new puzzles to grab the attention of fans of the DS edition, which should be a snap considering the warm reception the game received....

Jason Graves returns to score Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2is going to sound just as creepy as the first one did, thanks to returning composerJason Graves. The first game’s soundtrack won critics and gamers over, and was even awarded two BAFTA awards — one for Original Score and the other for Use of Audio. Graves says that he wrote a string quartet concerto for this sequel, and it represents Isaac’s vulnerable side. It was recorded by top musicians at the famous Skywalker Sound....

Jug Hero: Yeah I don’t know either

That incorrigible “-hero” suffix is at it again, and much like its “-punk” cousin, is turning up in the strangest of places. While the fashioning of instruments from saliva-smeared bottles is usually the domain of toothless, overalls-clad bumpkins boldly wielding shotguns and inhabitingDeliverance-esque backwaters, the trend of turninganyinstrument at hand into a music sim has triumphed over this unjust assumption withJug Hero.Seriously, even I can’t make this kind of thing up....

Knights in the Knightmare gets PSP port

A pretty game should be on a pretty screen. Larger screen means the player seems more detail. As much as I love my DS and even DSi, I feel myself wishing I could see some of the better looking ones on larger screens. Not to sound like a fanboy, but the PSP has a lovely screen. Maybe that’s what Sting was thinking when they decided to portKnights in the Nightmareto the PSP....

LEGO Rock Band gets Bon Jovi, Counting Crows, more

Warner Bros. and MTV Games have announced five more tracks for the upcomingLEGO Rock Band, and disappointingly, not a single one of them is The Commodore’s “Brick House.” What the hell? That brings the total revealed track list to an unlucky 13, the rest of which can be found after the jump. Personally, the idea of a “family friendly”Rock Bandthat allows you to battle LEGO monsters while rocking out doesn’t sound that bad to me....
