It’s on shelves now, so get your tissues and lotion at the store when you pick this up. Before you unzip your pants you should read Jennifer’s Playmate Data Sheet. Comic geeks, put on your bibs, here’s a DC Universe Online trailer, screens

So I must say that I’m digging what I’ve seen of Sony Online Entertainment’sDC Universe Online. This is coming from someone who does not really play massively multiplayer online games, having only dipped my toes in the waters of Azeroth. We had a chance to see the game in action at CES a few weeks back, and on the surface, it looks to be shaping up pretty nicely. Well, at least it looks better than this trailer, which doesn’t really do the game’s visuals any justice....

Culdcept DS is on the CARDS … ha ha … just watch the damn trailer

My only experience with theCuldceptgames comes from a demo ofCuldcept SagaI played on Xbox Live. Since it’s a card based strategy game and I have all the luck of Calamity James from theBeano, I found myself trounced fairly swiftly. I then decided never to play it again. While I don’t like relying on pure game-generated luck for all my success, some peopleloveit and there are a fair fewCuldceptfans on Destructoid. I think it takes someone particularly nerdy, even among gamers, to combine card games, board games and Japanse RPGs into one big ball of social shame, but that’s obviously just me....

David Jaffe at Comic-Con: Do we even cover games anymore?

In the spirit of ourexclusive, hard-hitting coverage of vaguely popular cartoons enjoyed by British children, we bring you the above video; a three and a half minute long clip ofGod of Warcreator David Jaffe proving conclusively that if he wasn’t a trendsetting, outspoken game developer, he’d be your creepy uncle who offers to buy you beer, but only if you’ll refer to him as ‘Drizzt’.Though I have to say, I’m impressed that he managed to pick up the soundtracks for bothLadyhawkeandWarGames....

Dead to Rights: Retribution video reminds me: Get a dog

In this latest developer diary for Namco Bandai’s upcomingDead to Rights: Retribution, Volatile Games shows off the game’s combat. According to the game’s combat designer, the main feature of the game is to allow players to have the choice to use hand-to-hand combat, ranged weapons, or the dog (Shadow) to take out enemies. It’s totally up tol you. But here’s the thing — that dog looks like he’s no joke. We’re unclear if the game features a “pooper scooper” mechanic where you have to clean up after Shadow, but it looks like it might be worth it....

DED launches the Hydrophobia Listening Post

I have to give Dark Energy Digital props on one thing — they know how to milk a controversy for PR gains. Delicious new Gran Turismo 5 pics and news

The ‘semi-official’ blog ThreeSpeech hasposted some very official-lookingnewGran Turismo 5screenshots/eyecandy. A few of the images show an in-car views from the drivers seats of a Ferrari and Audi, and even one with an over-the-shoulder rear view. That Ferrari has a terrible blind spot! There are also a couple that show parked cars in photo-realistic settings, much like the GT5 trailer did. Granted, we need to see how this plays (TGS, perhaps?...

Destructoid Review: Blast Works

Most people associate the Nintendo Wii with three things; motion controls, market dominance, and last-gen graphics. Diehard gamers know better. The Wii is not all about waggle packed budget titles. Less than two years after it’s initial release, the Wii has been been graced withMetal Slug Anthology,Geometry Wars:Galaxies,Heavenly Guardian,The Mokey King: The Legend Begins,Castle Shikigami III, and nowBlast Works: Build Trade Destroy, all 2D shoot ’em ups, all firmly grounded in the traditions put forth by the original videogame,Computer Space....
