We’ve been hearingTimeSplitters 4rumors dating back to 2007, so don’t get too hyped about these most recent rumblings. They’re coming fromOfficial PlayStation Magazine UK‘s “Rumor Machine” portion of the mag (viaJoystiq), hinting that a reveal may be just around the corner. “Gun-wielding monkeys are finally making a comeback!” it says, “A fourth Timesplitters title is to be announced soon.” Great news if true, but again, let’s check our expectations accordingly....

Now I’m not sayingGuitar Hero 2is bad — far from it. The practice mode is a welcome change, the co-op (while I haven’t gotten to try it out yet) seems fun as all hell, and playing three note chords feels strangely awesome to me.The problem is the songs. Music games likeGuitar Herolive and die by the quality of their soundtrack, which is why the first game sold so damn well. It had its fair share of hardcore death metal, but it also interspersed pop, country, and funk songs that most people were pretty familiar with....

World of Warcraft isgood for a few things, I admit. You can level up fairly quickly and see some pretty artistic stuff around the living world and even better, you can make friends along the way. But, perhaps my favorite aspects in the game are the dance animations. And hell, they’re your favorite too,right Dane Cook?

Atlus will be at this weekend’s Anime Expo to show off their wares as well as hold a special panel on their upcoming PS3 RPG release,Demon’s Souls. This panel, calledDemon’s Souls: The Full Story, will feature game producer Takeshi Kajii, and will cover the development and conceptialization of the game. The panel is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Those that attend the panel will be eligible to win a collectible framed canvas print of the game’s art, which will be autographed by Kajii himself....

I didn’t need a 30-second video to make me want Super Mario Galaxy 2, but somehow this one makes me want it even more. This has to be the best Wii commercial I’ve ever seen! It’s like a cross between a holiday season Coca-Cola commercial and an ad for Disney’s theme parks. Blizzard is undoubtedly the king of the PC gaming world, with titles likeWorld of WarcraftandStarcraftremaining untouched successes. The RPG and strategy specialist doesn’t want to just rule the PC world, however, as it has stated that console games will “definitely” be worked on in the future. “Some real-time strategy games have tried to happen on the console,”explains director J. Allen Brack. “Some of those have been successful, but overall, our experience is that it’s going to be a better game on the PC, ergo it’s developed on the PC....
