Dracula 3was announced last year, but it seems it mostly flew under the radar (perhaps due to the waning popularity of PC games that are notWorld of Warcraft.) I still enjoy gaming on my PC when there are games available, not to mention I’m a sucker for somegood old fashioned horror, so I was very pleased to see some crisp new screenshots pop up for this title. I threw the old screens in for good measure, since I couldn’t find a trace of the game in the Dtoid library....

Sony CEO Howard Stringerhas publisheda personal message concerning the notoriousPlayStation Network hack attack. Kinect, by all accounts, is kicking PlayStation Move’s puckered arsehole up and down the street, but Sony isn’t phased, at least not publicly. In fact, the PS3 platform holder believes Microsoft will eventually bump its head on the glass ceiling and won’t be able to take Kinect very far. “… There are limitations around a camera-only solution. Prop master Harrison Krix is pretty good at what he does. He’s created an incredibleBig Daddy costume, a stellarMass Effect weapon replica, and is the talent behind ourown Mr. Destructoid’s helmet. Krix also made a fabulous, full-sized replica gun from Valve’s hit,Portal. That was years ago, and withPortal 2wowing criticsand gamers, it’s time for an upgrade. As we said about 40 minutes ago,BorderlandsDLC “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned” is a thing that is happening right now over PSN and Xbox LIVE. I grabbed the content off of Xbox LIVE Marketplace this morning, hoping to put some quality hours into the material before having to hit the grind again. Turns out that I was only able to put about 30-40 minutes before putting down the controller. Bummer....

As a Super Famicom game,Star Oceanimpressed with its epic space story, huge cartridge memory size, and voice work, but it never saw release outside of Japan, and while we later recieved the sequels, non-Japanese gamers missed the maiden voyage of this series. The PSP version, namedStar Ocean: First Departure, is a total overhaul of the original title, featuring loads of new features and original animated cutscenes. The demo opens up with an anime introduction, which looks vivid and impressive on the PSP’s screen....
