Kinect might be the hottest thing this holiday when it comes to new ways to get folks into shape, and Ubisoft got on the train early with its launch title,Your Shape Fitness Evolved. Now it has announced that it will be releasing new workouts and fitness programs for the game by way of downloadable content. The first installment of the downloadable content will come in early December, and will include two programs: the “Toned Body Program” and the advanced “Cardio Boxing Platinum” class....

Gearbox has announced its third piece of DLC forBorderlandstoday, “The Secret Armory of General Knoxx,” slated to hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this year. The DLC will bring a “huge new environment” featuring new enemies and new weapons. Gearbox is saying the experience is designed “for growth for characters from around level 34 to level 50.” Yes, apparently Gearbox will be raising the level cap for this upcoming DLC, although they haven’t confirmed by how much....

To the surprise of no one, Sony has announced that on November 3, a slim PlayStation 3 with a 250 GB HDD will be available at retailers in North America. The cost? $349.99. According to Sony, there will be absolutely no difference in functionality between it and the current 120 GB slim model, save for more hard drive space. As someone who is sick to death of modern Japanese RPGs and all their overfamiliar tropes, I find the idea of3D Dot Game Heroes— a game that mercilessly parodies Japanese RPGs and all their overfamiliar tropes — to be thoroughly refreshing. There isn’t enough parody in gaming, and this one looks like it’ll be awesome. Here are a bunch of new screenshots for the game, courtesy ofAndria Sang. The blocky art style has been made beautiful on the PS3, demonstrating that simplicity can often look as good as, if not better than, your average gritty explosions-and-lighting-effects AAA game....
