Sonic fans are known for getting a little … emotional … at times, but one man appears to be going for the championship.SONIC1SONICHEDGEHOGis furious over the 3DS version ofSonic Generations, expressing his rage that Dimps including a homing attack and doesn’t feature the “Sonic 1 Sonic.” Could this man be trolling? Could he be serious? Unfortunately, we just can’t tell with Sonic fans, since people like this genuinely exist. Anyway, it’s worth watching, especially for the part where he tells Dimps to “shove a hentai up your ass” and accuses them of having sexual intercourse with quails....

It has been said that necessity is the mother of all invention, and for all intended purposes that ranks as one of the truest phrases that you’ll likely ever encounter. The remarkable thing about it all is that it has a tendency to transcend mere mortals such as us. Yes, even Japanese multinational conglomerates such as Sony are not immune to the concept. That my friends, is why it was not entirely surprising, yet no less pleasing to hear that the sleeping giant that spawned both the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 finally took a good look around, and decided to take the steps necessary to ensure that the PS3 actually has a fighting chance at a future....

The always outspoken Mark Rein, Epic’s vice president, has went ahead and put one more post-it note on the board ofawesomeness:Gears of Warwon’t stop with just a trilogy. As the legendary Stimpy said, “Joy!” “Gears is a trilogy? If we can keep making quality games that fans obviously then why would we have to stop at three. I don’t see the Metal Gear Solid, Mario, Grand Theft Auto or Final Fantasy series (among others) stopping at three and they’re still delivering compelling entertainment content that’s easily worth the money (see Unreal Tournament as well)....

Above you can see the concept art they released for Biff Tannen, former bully of the 1950’s now a pathetic, car-washing wretch in the 80’s. Sadly, Biff will not be played by his original actor Tom Wilson. His voice will instead come from Kid Beyond. Vanillaware’sMuramasa: The Demon Bladeis almost here, and we’ve already seen enough footage from the game to get a lot of us ready to crack open our wallets for it. But as Spencer over atSiliconeranotes, one thing we haven’t seen yet is the game’s onsen scenes. Onsen, or Japanese hot springs, act as inns traditionally would in the game. You can stop in for a breather to restore your sword energy and health, and upon doing so you might run into a few of the game’s other characters....

I love the way that the classicResident Evilgames offer an equal mix of butchered Hollywood action and horror sensibilities and videogame logic.The last few game in the seriesskewed much more towards the Hollywood side of that equation, which didn’t feel right. That’s part of why I’m so excited forResident Evil:The Mercenaries 3D. It’s all videogame from beginning to end, with the Hollywood stuff kept to a minimum. I know a lot of people are bummed that the game has no storyline, but is that really just a bad thing?...
